Pitney Bowes – “It's what you make of it

Nov 13, 2009

4.0

Pitney Bowes Recruiter:   (Past Employee - 2007)

Pros

Rock-Star opportunities for those who are overachievers with managers who want them to succeed as mine did--you will never run out of problems to solve and opportunities to improve things. Some people find this frustrating, but I found it interesting! Most recently, HR has reorganized and there are some good managers left. Great opportunities to learn and improve. Satisfaction can vary depending on division and location, but overall, it's really what you make of it.

Cons

Overachievers can sometimes be frustrated with the status quo and there can be some shady characters, but the majority of the people I worked with were great people. Pay tends to fall behind the curve, but very nice benefits.

Advice to Senior Management

Hold Sr. Management more accountable along with all levels - raise the bar. Pay more attention to your employee engagement surveys as they are a great tool.

You have got to be kidding, rock-star opps? If there were really rock-star ops in large companies anymore Id see more people posting commissions in the 2-300K range!
