Pros

Built on a foundation of employee concern and care. History of great products and service.

Cons

Lost their way on product, service, and employee excellence. Years of downsizing, cost cutting, poor senior management, poor senior field management, and lack of direction has killed the company. Many long time employees and customers have been hurt by this.

The company has become a more of a who you know, than what you know. There has been to much emphasis on cost cutting than actually being the quality company it was at one time. There was a lot of talk by senior management about providing the best customer experience possible but it is not supported with real significant action, effort, or financial resources. Most support is superficial or to cover senior managements accountability.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

New CEO needs to consider making significant changes in current field sales and service management. He may want to consider recalling many of the highly educated, experienced, and successful managers that were let go by current management. There are many current managers that should be retained and possibly promoted in place of current senior managers to allow for more relevant and contemporary leadership.

People, Product and Service needs to become an investment not the cost cutting machine it has been for the current senior leadership. Restore the company to its greater former glory.
