Former Employee – worked at Pitney Bowes
Pros – As an intern you work directly on projects and do real engineering from the beginning. You are assigned a mentor and often perform cross-functionally with other departments to get things done. Very good experience overall. Very relaxed environment.
Cons – Very top heavy company. There is a lot of bureaucracy in the way of getting things done. There is a lot of "nickle and dimeing" when designing new products. Nontechnical management sometimes seemed detached from reality wit their requests and requirements.
Advice to Senior Management – Management does a good job of staying on top of things. Management is very flexible about scheduling issues and conflicts.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
