I worked at Pivot Interiors full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Pivot goes above and beyond to support clients and employees with respect and honesty. Every employee is empowered to solve problems, with management who listens and takes action to back them up. It is a caring company that believes that "family comes first".

Cons

Work process can be tediously slow, due to the extreme need for accuracy. Sometimes this makes it difficult to respond quickly to clients. The upside is that the process eliminates most costly errors.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look for ways to streamline processes. Otherwise just keep doing what you're doing.

I have been working at Pivot Interiors full-time

    Pros

Wine Wednesdays, drinking from 3pm until end of day...usually hurt productivity. A lot of catered meetings.

    Cons

Training is not provided, in fact you're expect to train yourself. Dysfunctional office environment, lots of fighting between people and departments in office and between management and staff. Many people leave without word. Pivot interiors has a difficult time retaining highly talented people. The company is scrambling to try to become organized and have a "pivot way" to do things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CEO: take a closer look at the San Francisco office.
