I worked at Pizza Hut part-time (less than an year)

Pros

The team members were fun. It was a paycheck until something better came along. And it's really hard to meet the twenty word minimum to think of good things because there was nothing good beyond the paycheck and the co-workers.

Cons

Equipment was shoddy, scheduling was not thought out, workers were generally unhappy due to poor management. There was too much pressure from corporate to have everything a certain way but the person running the store wouldn't schedule enough people to get the job done right. Another job where one is expected to do the work of many, for one person's paycheck.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have people that aren't burnt out in charge.

I worked at Pizza Hut full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good training programs, promotion from within, tight knit team. Overall, good for individuals with minimal education (i.e., HS Diploma, GED, Associates Degree) looking to grow into a managment position for a title/experience.

    Cons

Some serious problems with corporate management... Seems to be some gender bias leading to a glass ceiling for women. Also, many changes going on right now with stores being franchised which is leading to a lot of confusion and resentment among lower level staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more opportunites to the women in the company. You have some very gifted RGMs that have been repeatedly been given broken promises for advancement beyond the store level and are now becoming increasingly resentful.

I have been working at Pizza Hut full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

They started off strong and YUM brands is a large company with many perks. They were very motivating at first.

    Cons

Training is non existent, people are thrown into stores with little or no experience. They have also gotten cheaper lowering the salary of the RGM $9000 in the last 6 months. You are required to work a min of 50 hours, but will usually be closer to 70. Quality has also gone down for the product, all to cut corners.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You get what you pay for cutting the salary is only going to reduce the quality of your managers. Manger turnover is extremely high in this area, compared with any other area. This directly will affect your customer experience. There are stores that have gone through 6+ managers in a year, there is no real tenure in the management staff. This needs to be fixed.
