International Development NGO with Potential

Lower Level Staff (Former Employee)
Warwick, RI

I worked at Plan International full-time for more than 5 years

ProsCurrent CEO, Tessie San Martin wonderful business leader and visionary. Changing the Organization name from Plan USA to Plan International USA. The development of DC office.

ConsManagement - Executive Team and Directors - some not all lack critical expertise in the positions they hold which effects employee loyalty, moral, and trust. Moral for the DC office on the decline after such high hopes.

Advice to Senior ManagementDevelop a clear culture, hold manager accountable, assess their skill sets and performance better before giving them 5% pay increases blindly and lowering pay increases for the true performers.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Great opportunities to make a difference in the lives of children

Senior Manager (Current Employee)

I have been working at Plan International full-time for more than 10 years

Pros: Plan International provides ample opportunities for professionals at any level. There is a willingness to listen to "newbies" and at the field level… Cons: The structure of the the Plan Federation, with National (fundraising) Offices effectively governing the organization leads to alot of turf wars over credit… Advice to Senior Management: The governing structures need to get their act together. This is a major drag… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
