I have been working at Planned Parenthood full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Meaningful work. Fun, dedicated co-workers. Feeling like you make a difference. Lots of opportunities to learn. Good benefits.

Cons

Disconnect between higher-ups and those on the ground regarding how to improve service (read: scheduling). Pay is not livable.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I love this job, and appreciate that our contributions are valued in an emotional sense. But it would be great if that could be translated into a financial investment in employees, as far as hourly wage.

I worked at Planned Parenthood full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Team focused environment. Everyone worked well together.

    Cons

With the amount of changes that occur in healthcare, the HCA position is overwhelmed and turnover is extremely high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand the FULL responsibilities that fall on HCA's. It's too much. The HCA's cover all the responsibilities that a practitioner doesn't. HCA's need to be hired for "front work" and "back work"; not both.
