Bonus incentives are offered because the pay is so low, but they have the dishonest habit of upping your goals even when they have already been set for the year when you have in their eyes bonused too much.

I have the role and responsibilities of an assistant manager, who makes around $40,000.

You go around doing the bare minimum to get by on your own job, and it shows. Be a real leader and take a real interest.
