I worked at Polo Ralph Lauren full-time

    Pros

Some of the best managers in the industry. Had the opportunity to work with some really great people who cared about us. Discount is alright I guess...

    Cons

Such a tedious job. No one at a store level has any say in what goes on; managers seemed unable to make decisions in their own store. Feels very much like a big brother culture. Managers always stressed which made an uncomfortable atmosphere. The job is ultra tedious, dull and repetitive. Following the same procedures day in day out which everyone hated. Associate morale was terrible. No one wanted to be there, just seemed to be a temporary stepping stone before going elsewhere; high staff turnover. Long, tiring hours for terrible pay and no rewards. Polo is a company that continually takes, but never gives back.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the pay better. Cut all the unnecessary tasks which are boring your staff half to death. Give managers more flexibility in the store they are meant to be managing.
