I have been working at Pomeroy IT full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – There are some good people who work there. The Call Center is a good place to work.
Cons – The overall culture is extremely poor. The HR department is the department in the most trouble. They just can't grasp what an employee needs and/or possess any sensitivity. They need a leader with honed HR skills, coupled with a positive management style. This department requires a complete overhaul. An HR department should always be the company's strongest asset, this one falls way short. The President does try to make it a better work ebvironment, by taking steps in the right direction. But does so for the wrong reason. He needs to focus on being a strong leader rather than a popular one. Sometimes a good leader is not always the most popular. I also understand the CIO may be the "choke hold" that's hurting the Prez even more. Management changes are definitely required.
Advice to Senior Management – President......time for a complete Leadership change.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
