I have been working at Pontoon Solutions full-time

Pros

I can truly say I enjoy what I do every day. The office atmosphere is social and pleasant, but at the same time, colleagues know when to buckle down and get the job done. It’s the perfect combination of work hard, play hard. Upper management takes time to get to know employees in the office and greet people by name when passing.

Cons

Being a global organization creates challenges with internal communications and turn-around times, but it’s a known issue and everyone is working to become in-tune with the amount of time needed for true global collaboration. I also wish we were more involved within our community.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees and continue to uphold an open door policy. Reward hardworking employees.

    a worldwide company
    flexibe with hours

    Cons

    Lack of direction.
    Bad leadership: incapable.
disengaged leaders - lack of creativity, vision and adaptability.
    Egos in senior leaders.
Not a lot of strong recruiters.
bad pay - a lot of young people makes this possible.
lack of corporate presence in our office.
Senior leadership have no time for employee's morale (nor do they care).
Senior leaders work virtually - never around to answer questions and help us. '
No follow ups and communication -
I have been here three years and have yet to see holiday pay.
Full-time people vs. part-time people --no benefits.
No room for growth - only among managers.
    friends promote their friends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire talented people, and pay them accordingly.
Hold senior leadership accountable for their incompetence.
Choose a model and stick with it.
    eliminate rivalry among teams.
Create equal pay scales within the RPO model.
Who is the RPO president? we certainly don't know him, more than he knows his job.
Eliminate managers hiring their friends, who happen to be incompetent (please check resumes).
Bring new blood and eliminate old cliques. we need more outside hires.
Check employees complaints in the Adecco hotline, there are a lot pending. Review complaints and take us seriously. Employees are disgruntled and demoralized.
Hold your senior leaders to scrutiny. A lot of them are incapable and absent - at least make them come to the office five times a week A.K.A. lead by example?
We.are.not.a.share.model. Saying it over and over again doesn't magically make it happen.
Do not reward laziness - leaders are hands off.
Pay attention, listen and work on a career development program.

I worked at Pontoon Solutions full-time

    Pros

Good medical coverage, some work place flexibility

    Cons

They want to do much more with many fewer resources leading to a large workload. There are not really any good career paths laid out and the raises are minimal. The realities of those doing the work is very different than what is perceived by upper management and though they claim they listen or are open - that has not been demonstrated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in the workforce making things happen and allow for downtime to avoid the tremendous burnout happening.
