    Pros

Great co-workers, immediate supervisor wanted me to succeed, lots to learn

    Cons

Benefits are not great, training program is non-existent, only hiring that ever seems to be done is for Managers and Executives

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in training the staff you have, make them feel that they are involved, rather than just drones who do the same thing day in and out

Underpaid, one tiny raise in last five years, mediocre benefits

I worked at Porter & Chester Institute

    Pros

Great coworkers, physical working conditions are good, expenses policy is good, decent technology, most campuses are nice, the actual staff who work with students care about them

    Cons

The pay is pathetic, not even basic cost of living raises yet benefits cost more each year, staff is so disgusted with this but smile through all of it for fear of losing their jobs. PCI needs to start appreciating their staff by giving at least BASIC raises, CEO needs to recognize how must people here are suffering financially due to lack of pay. Enough with the verbal appreciation start showing it. Lost great staff because of this. Benefits are poor - bare bones holidays, crappy but expensive insurance, long hours, 4 weeks off if you teach but must be taken certain weeks, 2 weeks off for non teachers, poor 401k match. Worst company in terms of pay and benefits I have worked for. So good staff leave or are looking to leave. If you apply here, make sure you get the pay you want to make for years and years it won't change. The CEO has no idea how miserable people are with the corporate side of this company. There are always people who complain at a company but I've never experienced so many staff so discouraged with their situation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most managers are good. It's the corporate people making a lot if money that expect those who aren't to work as if they are. My advice to corporate: give at least the 3% cost of living raises, add some better paid time off, improve other benefits, allow some work from home time where possible, and stop thinking your staff isn't disgusted by the lack of the above.
