I have been working at Portland State University full-time for less than a year

Pros

No town and gown here--the commuter campus means PSU is serving a huge range of students, and the people who work here are generally pretty dedicated to the mission of educating the city.

Cons

I mean, you do have to work downtown, and it's a very large school. But, that means there's a ton of opportunity, little office insularity, and a wide availability of delicious food.
