Pros

People -- a diverse group committed to doing what it takes to keep the systems running.
Benefits -- the pay and benefits are very competitive.

Cons

Company is reluctant to truly invest in technology to differentiate from competition. In technology, the focus is on support, not on architecture. Industry is slow-moving, so nowhere near cutting edge technology.

Advice to Management

Acknowledge technology as a core part of the business.

    Pros

Good place to gain industry experience due to the high level of performance needed for normal everyday expectations. Benefits are also par with competitive standards. Job atmosphere becomes more family like due to the long hours.

    Cons

Hotbed of favoritism for promotions. Job responsibilities will likely continue to increase exponentially with little or no compensation to the employees. To maintain sanity, one must learn to be satisfied with a hard day's work in a sea of negativity. The ultimate challenge is learning not to take the job home with you, because upper management aims to make the job too personal. Family life inevitably suffers.

    Advice to Management

Reward the hard workers who do the job, and beware those that only work to appear to be working hard. Much of the job performance in operations management is not measurable on paper. The best performance of someone will come out on the worst day's production.

    Pros

Used to have great benefits, but the "new" HR team is cutting them like crazy
    Great people within middle management

    Cons

Terrible Sr leaders in all departments. No support from Phoenix HR. No vision for the company. No respect at all for employees especially long term employees. You may as well quit before they get rid of you.

    Advice to Management

Get management in who really care about employees. Revamp HR and this time get quality people
