I worked at Powertek full-time (less than an year)

Pros

it's a young company, if they survive, it may present an opportunity for growth.

Cons

lack of communication between management and staff....
poor client management skills.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

get rid of the unnecessary layers of stiff bureaucracy and recognize and promote and utilizing existing talent.
I felt like I was in the military when working there... I specifically avoided working for companies supporting DoD to avoid such an environment.

I have been working at Powertek full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement, certification reimbursement, salary, work-life balance, great co-workers, no micromanagement, growth opportunity, and board has a great vision for the future

    Cons

With everything going on, sometimes it appears that there needs to be better communication from the top down. Also, processes and procedures need to be put in place and followed across the board.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Doing the right thing, ALWAYS is great and not too many companies abide by that standard so the fact that this is of value is awesome! Focus on putting together processes and procedures that are followed across the board because the company is going to grow and this will be very important. Also, communication between Directors and Management should be an area that is improved.
