I have been working at Precision Drilling full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Pay, benefits, 2 weeks off, and Per Diem make up for the four weeks away from home.

Cons

There are no request days off. Its a 28 on, 14 off work cycle with very minimal exceptions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should hire people with a little more intellect and customer service in your payroll and main offices. I have had multiple occasions where payroll messed up and lost their patience. Its enough to make a field employee quit. There are smarter employees in the field than in your office

    I worked at Precision Drilling

    Pros

Precision Drilling hires great people. I worked with an exceptional team. I was also able to take advantage of several learning opportunities and leadership seminars.

    Cons

I saw people being promoted, that had exceptional job skills; but lacked appropriate leadership skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everyone loves to work for a company that promotes from within; it helps to retain employees. Make sure that the person who is promoted also gets leadership training.
