Pros

Its a small company so everyone treats you like family which could be good and bad. You get exposure to doing many tasks across departments so gaining experience in the many facets of data management is possible.

Cons

Due to being a small company you feel that everyone wants to know your personal life. There are not many opportunities to advance and management is not open to new ideas on how to become more efficient in performing tasks. There is a strong sense of favoritism amongst who gets promoted by management. There is no training provided to new associates and management is not readily available to assist with questions. Its basically a sink or swim situation.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide some sort of training to all new employees regardless of position level. Every job should count no matter how small. Listen to employee needs, concerns, and ideas if you want to retain the best employees that will help your organization grow and succeed.

    Pros

    Able to work from home; Functional Services group is a competent and nice group of people to work with; company reimbursements processed quickly

    Cons

    Antiquated training system - all paper documentation, no electronic; does not provide a level of confidence in their finances - at times upper manangement appears to not want to tell the truth but dance around the issues; upper management appears to favor non-US employees over US employees.

    Be honest and upfront with the employees, especially US employees

    I have been working at Premier Research full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    You've given the chance to express your ideas and opinions. Ability to work with in rare diseases and paediatric studies challenges you are they protocols are usually difficult and there can be recruitment obstacles.

    Cons

    Training system needs to be improved. Self-study of SOPs and occasional WebEx is not enough. Great disparity between US and European operations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Invest more in your employees. Sometimes it feels that teamwork and company culture is lacking. Leadership at the country level needs to be more present and available to their employees.
