Pros

An average Cisco retailer. Great Engineering force

Cons

Management is clueless. Engineering is third class citizens.. Management is run by Sales in this company. Account managers and their VP of Sales manipulate to blame Pre-sales engineering for everything. Engineering Vice-President or other engineering management always accepts the fault. Their default position is that their Pre or Post sales engineer is wrong. There is lack of diversity in management. No minorities or women in the management. Bunch of White guys running the show. zero quality of life here.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please go close to your DNA which is engineering. your company is becoming a second hand car dealership with the Sales talent doing anything without any punishment. FIre your VP of sales and replace him with a logical resource who understands Technical sales. Start respecting Pre and post sales engineers as they are responsible for whatever success you have. Stop hiring dumb sales guys. you have sales people on staff who cannot spell 'Router ' correctly.

    Pros

Presidio provided great opportunity to work on demanding and complex projects. Many of the engineering staff are very competent and there is great collaboration and growth among the teams. Presidio has a good reputation for being able to deliver on projects, particularly around Cisco.

    Cons

While Presidio has for the most part maintained its reputation for technical competence, the leadership culture has changed dramatically. In the past it was a great place to work and the executive leadership was engaged. Today's executive leadership is distant from the people and is either disinterested or not capable of really engaging with the people that get the job done. The corporate CTO is an exception to this. Most real people leadership in the organization is at the first line of management or among peers.
