    Pros

Great residents and resident family members

    Cons

byTreat their employees horrible! Are worried mite about money than employee retention. They speak of team work but it does not exist. Corporate acts as if they are better than the employees and do not live by their supposed core values. They have allot to learn about how too take care of employees. Horrible benefits and treatment!!

I worked at Prestige Senior Living full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Smaller care unit, one on one time with residents

    Cons

The people who hire are very snobbish and tend to hire friends of theirs and they allow management to be authoritive over thier own family. THere is a rule that family members can not work there if they have a family member in management, they disregaurd this rule all the time this tend to create a favortism issue. The employees are very "clicky" and it can sometimes be extreamly hard to fit in or do your job well due to too much "drama" A lot of the employees are very young and do not take caring for the elderly or handicap seriously, they treat it as a paycheck only. This is not like a regular convalecent center, you have to do house keeping, laundry, meals, meal serving and ADL'S unlike most places. The employee turn over is very high due to poor management attitude towards their staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your staff with more respect and know that THEY are the ones who make the facility run, THEY do the brunt work and do not sit behind a posh polished desk. I believe the management staff need to have attitude checks, you often seem snarky or stuck up.
