Compensation is commission so you can make a lot of money. You have a lot of freedom to set your own schedule, making appointments, being out of the office. Management is helpful by going with the account executive on a presentation to help with getting a deal closed.

Cons

Work environment was not very friendly. People kept to themselves. This is a tough business if you have never worked in commercial furniture. Lots of detail to know the product. You need to develop lots of connections to make it work for sales.

Advice to Senior Management

If you are bringing on a sales person that does not have industry experience, make sure that sales person is paired with an experienced design and project manager.
