Pros

At one time it was a great place develop and grow into what you wanted to become. You own your own career (at all levels) and you have to understand that constantly. You will work along side a number of very smart and capable people and see many different organizations and industries.

Cons

The company has lost it's way in the recent economic downturn - it has created a place where 'what have you done for me lately' attitude prevails through out. Additionally, the approach to growing the Advisory practice is one that is confused and not well articulated to the internal practice. HR needs to be streamlined, there are more people in a HR function than there were 5 years ago but less support.

Advice to Senior Management

Look back to the past and what worked when you were successful. The company has morphed into fiefdoms that need to be torn down and 'national' exposure/practices need to be reestablished. Take care of your top performers and they will help lead you out of the current mess.
