Pros

company has great products and the infastructure to be dominent in the market. continuous stream of new products are available each season to sell.

Cons

Lack of leadership from senior management. The senior management group lacks the experience and vision to allow employees to grow the business locally. Management has a one size fits all attitude.

Advice to Senior Management

Allow the employees and local management to make decisions. Support the team and stop the constant instability to the operation.

You hit the nail straight on the head by stating "lack of Leadership from management." I dealt with PS in Kansas City where there was no productive relationship to be found from any of their so called managers. Everything was a bitter fight at every sales meeting, which in turn simply pointed our attention elsewhere in a less stressful, more productive place to do business. PS would do themselves a tremendous favor by getting rid of attitude cases like Sharon Yates, whoever tagged this one qualified as a Regional Manager needs therapy big time. I'm sure your competitors want Yates to stay right where she is!

Talk about race to the bottom....this culture could write a book about it. One thing I guess I missed in my 20+ years in business and education background was the part that said for the way to grow business with a vendor was to create a short term, corrosive, negative relationship with them. That way...the vendor would respect you and work very hard for you to help you Primesource grow your business....RIGHT?!?

Primesource has to be the most retarded, non-productive business model out there. Their so called regional managers couldn't lead a group of scouts out of a lit room, and their territory managers are nice people, but one grade up from an Ace Rent to Own wonder. I just can't believe businesses like this are allowed to exist in this world. All I can say is....WOW!!!
