I have been working at Primerica as a contractor (less than an year)

Pros

Great resources and competitive products to help families in almost any situation. Corporate assistance is very available. The technology available to the field staff is excellent. My office has great training on personal development. If you work at all, the $99 fee is easily earned.

Cons

Training is different between offices. The company has a significant amount of criticism online. It is a difficult business, but all insurance is at first, so I think much of the online criticism is not fair. Mutual fund products do not pay well.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't let the RVP's have so much free reign. Try to implement more consistency across the company.

Good learning experience at first and monotonous after that.

I have been working at Primerica full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Company targets under-served market with quality product lines.

    Cons

The company focuses on each agent's warm market and has no lead process at all implemented from the corporate level which would help drive production

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

put our name out there and advertise using radio/television/social media. The company, whether it's touted or not, is COMPLETELY focused on recruiting/showing the opportunity to large numbers. Stop moving into different product lines and focus on assisting more with the licensing/recruiting aspect of the business.

I worked at Primerica part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Primerica is a great company, but you will only make money if you commit to really working. Primerica will give you all the tools, all the resources and all the training you need. You just have to commit your self.

    Cons

You will not make it in this company if you don't put in enough effort. If you give up easily, you will not get anything out of it. Also, while the training is good, many of the meetings are boring and are just like pep rallies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is too much time spent on pep rallies and recognizing people. Many people just want training instead of pseudo-motivational rallies.
