Pros

Top notch talent, good funding, contact with world leading researchers, informal atmosphere, very strong students and post-docs, good facilities, wonderful location.

Cons

A bit isolated if you're young and single - near new york city but it's a hike to get there and you have to keep an eye on the train schedule. Very research and academic focused as opposed to business focused. Contrast would be the frequent generation of start-up companies at places like MIT and Stanford.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and don't change things too much. maintain open space on campus. ------------------------- bumblebee cumulus purple

    Pros

Princeton University offers a great opportunity for personal growth. There are many lectures and events to attend. They have a great benefits package as well.

    Cons

The university is in a some what isolated area. There is not much to do outside of Princeton, and princeton, NJ itself is quite pricey.

    Pros

Many opportunities to work with world renowned professors and exposure to cutting-edge research. The Princeton name carries prestige and opens doors to networks. I had a great time, although students' experiences vary widely with their thesis advisors and their department's culture. Some advisors are very friendly and supportive while others can make your life quite difficult. The university generally treats the graduate students well, with moderate TA loads and high stipends by the standards of PhD programs.

    Cons

The university housing sucks (but the suburban location makes it possible to find third party apartments at reasonable prices) and parking for commuters is a daily nightmare. Some campus buildings are in need of renovation.

    Advice to Management

Add more parking and reduce the bureaucracy in the administration.
