    Pros

For research staff: Decent benefits, including great retirement. Your work environment will vary depending on what your role is, your department and coworkers, lab, etc.

    Cons

Like any organization, there will be a few people here and there that you won't like, or who are downright disappointing in their job performance, and they won't necessarily be on their way out.
