Pros

Family oriented. Made efforts to get rid of the "old boy" system but it still exist and can change in a plant if senior management changes.

Cons

Again, plant specific and if senior management changes so goes the plant.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

When "good old boys" win out over talent, everyone sees it and knows the deal.

    Good pay and benefits!
    Extensive safety training and focus serves as a good resume enhancement and selling point for future opportunities.

    Cons

    12 hour shifts can translate to long work weeks if not scheduled on a rotating shift (depends on location and staffing)
    Pushed continously for production

    Some managers tend to be insensitive to the need for notice for working overtime/weekends
