This is a very large company which provides a great deal of opportunity but it is much too hierarchical.

Pros

Opportunity in many locations and functions in the company for a finance manager.

Cons

Still struggling along with male managers who want to manage everyone as if they were white middle class males.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Eliminate Band 3 or Band 4 managers to speed up getting good new ideas to the people in the organization who can move on them.

I have been working at Procter & Gamble full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

You get to test your own product to get coupons to get free products

    Cons

They are in the process of downsizing and many of the jobs they are not replacing. They just keep adding to everyone's work. It use to be the place to work but now If you want to be over worked, no life career balance and you want to be under paid it may work for you. I've compared to my role and other companies are offering $10M - $20M more. They are not promoting ver much anymore either. All work and NO reward but more work. They are offering a voluntary package to anyone who will take one. What does that say...no one is worth anything there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees, you are burning them out and leaving a bad taste in their mouths for P&G. I haven't heard anyone say they like there job. So sad. So many people would leave if they could.
