Former Employee - CMK Intern in Fayetteville, AR

I worked at Procter & Gamble as an intern for less than a year

Pros

-Had a very involved manager and trainer
-Project was very relevant
-Leadership truly cared about the intern's experience
-Everyone who works here is truly VERY SMART.
-Training is amazing and you get pushed to think

Cons

-Working in Fayetteville
-The work life balance of an intern is fine, but once you start working as a full-time employee it's not as great
-CMK internship has both undergrads and MBA's (skewed towards undergrads). If you do accept your offer as an MBA grad, you'll start off with a higher salary, but over time (due to smaller salary increases), the undergrad's salary will align with the MBA's. Seems a bit unfair.

I have been working at Procter & Gamble full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Strong investment in early career training, and early responsibility for those who are ready. Tends to recruit good people with a strong work ethic who care about winning and the company.

    Cons

Very little structure to people development after the first few years. Stack racking system can create negative effects especially as the company becomes increasingly global.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Needs to focus more on mastery and expertise in the middle layer.
