Pros

Excellent Salary and learning opportunity.

Cons

As an African American manager, I felt that opportunities were not as prevalent to me as those of other ethnicities. This was also apparent in the stats of senior level management of the african american decent.

Advice to Management

Promote ALL deserving Employees. Additionally, rate and treat each individual fairly regardless of the color of their skin.

    Pros

P&G is stable, good pay, and have the oppurtunity to work in many different areas of the business and development a breadth of experience.

    Cons

Like any big company, tough to move up quickly and lots of politics are involved. Things do not happen quickly and takes many people to get things done. Many of the jobs do not provide a great deal of value to the actual business. Classic Office Space middle management.

    Advice to Management

It is too complicated to get things done and sometimes to many people are involved in projects and therefore takes longer to get things completed.

    Pros

Well respected, good pay, reasonable promotion possibilities, long time employment if desired.

    Cons

Helps to be from colleges where P&G recruits from. Entry position usually determines how far you go in your time at P&G.

    Advice to Management

Remember there are promotable people who are not currently in management who should be promoted there. The limited career path for non-mamngement can cause low morale for long term employees who feel they have reached the end of their career path.
