Pros

Great benefits, tuition reimbursment, great training, good working conditions, excellent place to start a career.

Cons

They aren't good about advancing careers. They often pigeon-hole employees into certain jobs and don't see the value employees could offer in different roles. Difficult to move up in that company unless you are kissing up to management.

Advice to Senior Management

Remember that employees are a precious resource. Tyr to find ways to develop them and help them advance at Progress Energy. If you don't then you will pay for their education and training and another company will reap the benefits of it.
