Pros

The company has good salary and benefits. They are flexible with time off and have started to allow flexible work schedules and telecommuting to help people with fuel costs and work-life balance.

Cons

The company is still a bit "siloed" so cross communication between departments can be difficult at times. Change comes at a glacial pace with some backsliding after good changes have been effected.

Advice to Senior Management

recognize during the merger process that it cannot be "the Duke way or the highway". Also, there needs to be a balaced approach to designing the new company with fairness in selecting those who are going to be with the new company going forward.
