    Pros

    Semi Friendly Environment, More bad than good unfortunately.

    Cons

    Unfair wages: Two departments handle customer service, one is extremely busy (90+ customers on hold at any given time) and the other is completely laid back (20-30 reps available at any given time). Both departments get the same wages.
    Horrible benefits: The lowest deductible plan is 500 deductible PER dependent, and once that is exhausted, it goes to 80/20. Generic prescriptions ONLY will be paid for, if it's not available in generic, you will pay 50.00+ per perscription.
    Horrible supervisors and managers: They say they try to "coach" you, but there's no coaching involved, you just get meetings where they yell at you and tell you that you will get fired if you don't meet their metrics.
    Unobtainable metrics: Customer Service is becoming a joke, within the past 6 months you now have to SELL your incoming calls and meet a goal of 35% in order to keep your job.

    Advice to Management

    Train supervisors better, offer better benefits packages and above all else, realize Customer Service means Customer Service, NOT SALES!

    Pros

    A steady paycheck and decent health benefits.

    Cons

    This company offers extremely low pay for sales people. Their bonuses for sales consist of pizza parties and Target gift cards. Management literally enjoys micro managing employees. Work hours are 1pm-10pm and that includes weekends. Pay raises are extremely low.

    I asked for an exit interview, but they didn't want to give one, despite the fact that I gave my two week notice. The purpose of exit interviews is to learn how to correct mistakes. However, this company doesn't care about the individuals in the call center. They just want to fill seats with warm bodies. If you leave, who cares? Flo doesn't care.

    They talk about diversity, but the big bosses are all white. They have a FEW low level managers who are minorities. I find this to be very interesting seeing how Progressive is a big name company that attracts applicants from all over the world. For example, most of their low level workers IT are Indian. Hmmm...

    Advice to Management

    Pay your sales people an actually competitive base salary and commission. Instead you people pay the same salaries as a customer service rep and reward sales people with food and gift cards. If you actually want to grow talent you have to keep it.

    I left the company to sell insurance for another firm which pays a much higher base salary and actually has commission.

    Get with the competitive pay or all this company will be is a training facility for insurance salemen who will leave in under two years for a REAL opportunity.
