A good, recession-proof job, but the company's attitude toward employees has deteriorated since buy-out

Cons

No paid lunch (9 hour day, 8 hours paid)
Vacation time accrued instead of given all at once
Excessive quality assurance requirements
Strict dress code (no cargo pants, no tennis shoes or Crocs, no t-shirts except for sport/spirit days)
Upper management out of touch with what the front line employees & supervisors go through in order to do their jobs and maintain QA standards
Many teams understaffed, therefore high stress levels in most client services positions
Lack of flexibility with schedule in order to complete school requirements, internships, etc. (Almost zero flexibility. Can take half-hour lunch to leave half-hour early with approval from manager. No other exceptions or allowances).
"Like it or leave it" mentality in highest levels of upper management

I have been working at Progressive Medical (ohio) full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The facility is very nice, most people are friendly

    Cons

The pay for performance, vacation and days off are all bad news. The pay for performance goals are nearly unreachable, a passing QA score is astonishingly hard to get. Vacation days are earned 1 per month, there are no personal or sick days and you get no rest between calls. The stress level is through the roof most days, constant heavy turnaround in the employees, dissatisfaction throughout.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider easing up on people. You ask way to much from your employees to be paying them so little on top of the constant bashing by QA and stress of unfinished schedules carrying over to the next day.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
