Pros

Prometheus is a forward thinking company that has left the old school ways in the past. They have created an amazing culture that makes you feel good to work for and sell the company. They have some very nice properties and seem to be growing their portfolio in great volumes.

Cons

The size of the teams they put together can sometimes not support the expectation and there is burn out.

    Pros

    Nice properties in San Jose and Bay Area

    Cons

    Corporate is completely unaware of whats happening at the property level. If a manager leaves everyday at three you can't tell corporate or their portfolio manager. They have no idea who shows up to work, and who doesn't work, but shows up to Porch events because they are looking to get into the corporate. If your a friend of someone in HR life is sweet. If you work hard and please the "Neighbors" you go unnoticed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get a diverse group of people, all ages. Treat employees with respect they most assuredly gave Neighbors respect. People are very dispensable at Prometheus they don't care just do what they say and say "Neighbor" instead of resident and "promethean" instead of employee or they will correct you and embarrass you for not using the proper terminology. It's taking things too far.

    EMPLOYEE Rent Increases Again-Went Job Increases are .10-.85cents?!- Of Course-Gotta Get $ Even If It is FROM EMPLOYEES!

    Pros

    Neighbors are very nice-great relationships; however they can turn on you in a moment should you not do exactly what they want.

    Cons

    Unrealistic expectations at time-want things done now/yesterday-when work given same day. Sick of the micro-management. Upward mobility-only if Corp thinks it is good for you. Corporate off always has someone in mind-even they post the job-as required.Sick of no balance of home-work life. Owner-Jackie-is nice however, doesn't quite get all we do. Father-Stanford-is like the King-make him happy or it can be not good-like jumping through hoops?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    This company racks in hundreds of thousands of dollars-it is all seen, we work like dogs-getting things done upper management wanted yesterday they hand down the same day;giving rent increases to employees based on market rents anytime from Spring to Summer is just wrong. Salaries are not considered obviously-when by law someone must live on site-the "Promethean" must still work-as a trade off to get the benefit. Between the Rent Increases of $100,$200Plus & the Very High Medical costs of about $500 for a Family-it is all ridiculous. It would be good to reconsider "field" & "corporate"-most times than not "field" makes far LESS than Corporate. Other competitors have different medical cost for field employees, & for Rent Increases these should be capped at no more than $50 in consideration for all the Prometheans do-which are working most near all the time. Asset Mgmt drives up the rates continuously for the sake of the ever loving dollar, however, the "Promethean" should be held out of that equation when considering rent increases. Squeezing every last dollar from us-is that right? Is that really fair or ethical? When many of us have children on Healthy Kids/Medi-Cal-a plan from the government because the cost of your medical is just way too high. Re-think this-Children are more important than Pet Insurance!What a joke. You want the Best Employee Rating? lol -Then reconsider. (1)rent increases(2)high medical(3)upward mobility-based on if you are wanted(4)low wage increases(5)work/home life= Not the Best Employer. Maybe not the worst, but certainly not the best.
