Pros

Good groups of co-workers. Lots of holiday events/giveaways. Pretty good bonus structure. Nationwide sales contests. Sunday's off. Paid vacations, which is hard to find in the industry

Cons

Micro-manage. Lots of paperwork which is expected with a sales job but it's redundant at this place, has to be 4 copies made for others in the office. Have to use your own vehicle but do get a comp back on gas.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the sales reps do what they need...sale. To much office time and micro managed paperwork

    Pros

    National company, some really good people who have been around for years.

    Cons

    The company followed the pack and hired a bunch of college kids to knock on peoples doors and pressure them into buying alarm systems. The old P1 would never be in this business and long time "adult" sales people can't be happy with this direction.

    Why are you still there - isn't it time to sell to ADT already?????

    Pros

    Some good service concepts and offerings if they could be executed.

    Cons

    No support from corporate or local branch (Neither care). After successfully working at P1 for almost 10 years things took a nose dive a year and a half ago or so. Most all of the best performers on the sales team company wide had left. I got tired of waiting for things to get better and did the same. New corporate management is robotic and treats the sales team like a bunch of monkeys with no brains... SELL SELL SELL.. You have a question, need help or training, have a problem? There is no where to go... Just go sell.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you want to be the best invest in your employees and listen... Your employees are the ones who make the company what it is. (Talk is cheap and doesn't pay the bills).
