I worked at Protective Life full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The company is incredibly financial stable and very innovative in product design and marketing. That is what attracted me to them. There are some very creative, driven and talented people working there.

    Cons

The company culture is that of "eat or be eaten". Teamwork is not fostered by any means. It is every man or woman for himself of herself. Your co-workers will absolutely throw you under the bus if it makes them look better. Everyone is fearful of losing their job, so that is why that culture exists. Management seems to like it and encourage it from what I can see.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You get amazing results from the talented people you have on board. Imagine the quality you'd receive and how much longer they'd stick around if you fostered a positive culture and treated employees with respect.
