    Pros

-- Talented and passionate teammates and interesting projects, if you get on the right team -- If you are lucky you will find a great team that cares about you, from the consultants that you work with all the way up to the MD -- Depending on the team structure, you can have opportunities to prove yourself and take on more responsibilities -- Days to work from home when you are on a long term engagement with a lot of travel

    Cons

-- Sometimes finding a good project is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Very few real consulting engagements vs. internal audit projects -- Management has very little concern in keeping staff interested and learning. If a client loves you and you've been on a project for 1+ year, you have to fight very very very hard to go and learn something new, which is not why we joined consulting in the first place... -- Strong possibility of being thrown under the bus -- Internal initiatives go no where

    Advice to Management

-- Stop thinking of your personnel as just someone to plug onto a team. -- Keep selling consulting engagements. -- Get rid of the wall between all the different groups. Projects need diff types of knowledge and talents. You have the people with the knowledge, put them to use.

Good place to start your Career, but a bunch of jerks will ruin your spirit and too much politics

    Pros

Good place to start a career. Good clients. Somewhat ok pay

    Cons

Arrogant Senior Consultants and Managers Do not understand your situations and do not care for it. If you go to one of their offices, they will treat you like an outsider as if you don't belong there. Politics interms of office transfer. If you can suck upto your manager and talk lot of football and basketball you are guaranteed anything you ask for.

    Advice to Management

Understand the needs of the employees. Don't look down upon new hires. Don't make them earn their title by making their job really hard, because if you treat them like crap, they will loose their motivation and do a terrible job.
