    Pros

    - Great pay - at or above market
    - Excellent benefits
    - Great, knowledgeable coworkers

    Cons

For the past year, IT has been going through a "standardization" process where they are attempting to make all regions and states use the same processes, job descriptions, etc. So they've informed all staff that you may or may not have to re-apply for your job, and your current job may or may not be a "standard" position in the new IT structure so there's a possibility that you might have to try to apply for another job in the organization or leave the company. The way that they're going about this is completely absurd. Before they even tell you exactly what is going to happen to your position, they are posting up jobs on the internal career site. The majority of IT staff are unsure about the security of their job, so everyone is applying for anything that comes up, regardless of whether or not they're happy in their current job. We are all stressed and everyday performance is suffering. Also, many staff are finding that their new supervisors/directors are now in OR or WA, along with other coworkers that are now part of their "team". There is a big disconnect and a feeling of desolation for staff that are not based in those states. If you are looking for a career in IT, stay away from this company for at least another year.

    Advice to Management

Stop adding to the uncertainty of an already unstable environment. Your recent decisions and ways you have chosen to go about this process are terrible. Actually BE transparent (not send out a bunch of newsletters and hold useless meetings to give the appearance that you are), and be upfront and tell everyone exactly what's going to happen to their positions and exactly what the structure will look like. Posting jobs before doing so is asinine.

Epic PMs and Directors like chickens with heads cut off running around not knowing what's what

    Pros

Providence core values. Actually very little spews over to my department. That little bit raises our morale up one millimeter per week

    Cons

Horrible horrible Epic team culture. Wave 1 or wave whatever, analysts lack respect towards hospital end users. Too much bad mouthing behind the walls towards their very own customers the MDs RNs MAs PAs techs. NOT the Providence way. Hardly any team cohesion, wayyyy overworked analysts, high turnover. Too many holes, mismanaged projects, total chaos. I'm surprised healthcare regulatory bodies haven't heard of IT mishaps, accidental medical record errors, switcharoos, etc, etc. SERIOUSLY sad

    Advice to Management

Where are the sisters? Why are Epic PMs and Directors walking so high and mighty with so much swept under the rug? For sake of patient safety!
