I have been working at Providence Health & Services full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great culture and benefits. Conservative, but warm and Mission based

    Cons

Older MarComm team that is a bit behind and too community-focused. Not willing to put energy and money needed to create competitive campaigns

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend some energy improving the technology and messaging behind your marketing and communications strategies so it can be at the same level as your care

I worked at Providence Health & Services

    Pros

The large system provided access to a lot of tools and resources that made it easier to get things done. Compassion is evident throughout system.

    Cons

No local control, decisions are made by disconnected regional or system executives. Limited staff training opportunities; low pay; marginal benefits. A lot of talk but very little action and follow through. Weak local management due to system overreach.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
