Ok, just never apply for an On Call position

I worked at Providence Hospital part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good culture and values system
Good wage for a basic entry job
    Team-work strongly encouraged
A decent place to work if you have the required skills

    Cons

Don't ever work on-call! If you don't have a life outside of work than its okay, but if you have any type of life on-call will be the death of it. I can only speak for housekeeping, but management hates to give regular part time status to their workers.

Second, the workload is unfair. Some areas to work literally take only 3 hours to finish. Whereas other areas are impossible to clean everything within the 8 hour shift. Workloads should be evenly distributed between employees.

Third, the training is not adaquate. They'll train you at first, but after the first week or so you only get computer training for random things you'll never use. I make sure to insist to the managers to have someone train me, but if you don't force them, you're not going to get any help. And if You're not trained for something and unknowingly mess up you will get in trouble (including ridicule from co-workers).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train workers for every section, as everyplace is extremely different.

Keep your word when you promise things.

Spread the work evenly between workers
