Publix – “Publix: Where working is a great pleasure”

Pros

Publix is a great place to work at because it really feels like your part of a family. The people were really great to work with, from cashiers to managers. You get to interact with many different types of people and customers and there is room to advance. I definetely recommend this because it was really fun and rewarding to work here. The pay is decent and you really do feel like your contributing to something worthwhile. I've always loved shopping here but working here is just as rewarding. It was a tgreat experience and I am pleased to have worked there.

Cons

The negative aspects that are seen when working at Publix are dealing with negative and stubborn customers who believe they are always right and that you are wrong, when maybe that is not the case. Sometimes you have to deal with agitated customers, and it can be challenging because you want to work everything out calmly without any problems from managemnet or whatever. but overall this is seen at all retail stores and is always going to be around. So the pros defintely outweigh the cons in this situation and reccomend it to anyone interested in customer relations and a great place to work at.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior management is doing a terrific job here at Publix. They truly challenge the worker to strive to be the best and make you feel like your work is really having an impact on the entire organization, which it is. Every part of Publix is needed in order to make it what it is today. I am proud to work here and management is partially responsible for this. Management is friendly to all its workers, from the bag people to the higher- ups.
