I have been working at Publix part-time (less than an year)

Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule. The company will work with you if you are taking college classes.

Cons

Somewhat hard to advance, depending heavily on what managers are above you - some are not very helpful. Advancing definitely takes a while, but is possible.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay close attention to who you advance into management. This company is known for warm, kind and friendly environment. I would hate to see that be destroyed by unfortunate staff.

I have been working at Publix part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

You get to meet the community you live in and the diversity is amazing.

    Cons

Part-time employees get no real benefits until a year after employment or you become a full-time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Asking the customer to there car is a nicer way instead of pushing the cart and saying I can help you out. I've gotten more customers to say yes by ASKING. Change this.
