An overall good place to work. Especially for younger (college/high school) people.

    Pros

They offer a flexible schedule. They'll work with you to make the job accessible if you are a part-time worker. The benefits are great if you meet the requirements which is usually the amount of hours worked.

    Cons

Beware of long hours in a single day. Because they'll adjust their schedule to meet your needs, you may work long hours sometimes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure employees are suitable for the department they are working.

I have been working at Publix part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great flexibility with scheduling, friendly coworkers, opportunity for variety with the different departments, easy "go with the flow' environment usually.

    Cons

Publix constantly hires employees, so the competition for hours (for part time employees) is at the point that you have to have wide open availability to get 20-30 hours a week. they also schedule short shifts too often, like 2.5-5 hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cross-train employees sooner if they want.
