Good courses offered
Strong faculty-Industry connections
Top class infrastructure, Whistler Center for Carbohydrate Research is highly reputed.

Cons

Research is fundamental sometimes.
Course structure could have been planned better.

    Pros

    Some of the best researchers from all around the world have come to study and work at Purdue University. Even though Purdue is a state school, many people consider it Ivy League caliber, particularly along the east cost.

    Cons

    There is not a whole lot to do around Purdue University being located in West Lafayette, IN.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep the price down for students.

    I worked at Purdue University part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Always meeting new people and working with RA's and other student workers who have a positive motivational attitude. Great benefits and amenities (dining halls, paid holidays, sick days, etc.).

    Cons

    As with any position where you work within a group, conflict and negative relationships can arise. Some of the work can get redundant and boring at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to concerns of full time staff AND temporary employees. Be proactive in resolving disputes and concerns of the staff.
