    I worked at PwC

    Pros

    - Telecommuting (if manager is ok with it)
    - Various project opportunities
    - Big 4 Name-recognition: looks good your resume

    Cons

    - Explicit favoritism and very shady corporate politics made it difficult to trust management
    - Rewards based on ability to promote oneself and brown-nose
    - No respect shown from management to associates (interns are treated better)
    - No work/life balance - expect to be "on-call" with your phone on you at all times
    - Pressure to hit "metrics" and stay billable. If you're not on a project, it's like you have to job-search all over again.
    - Annual (performance) review is a dog a pony show. Panels are biased and there is no 360 feedback incorporated. Promotions are based on a file and the opinions that a handful of managers (who may not work directly with you) have.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Encourage more mobility between projects and offices at the associate/sr. associate level.
    - Incorporate 360 degree feedback. The entire ARC review system as it is not is a joke.
    - Compensate workers fairly based on the overtime/travel hours/on-call efforts that they make throughout the year.
    - I realize corporate politics and the culture of "brown-nosing" is just how it is...however there needs to be more emphasis on the work that's done, not just who is liked and disliked. I've seen a lot of talented people leave due to the stressful atmosphere and low morale. Great people deserve better.
