Pros

Great management and ability to build your professional network. Training and experience from Pricewaterhouse is world class benefits are incredible.

Cons

There are no considerable downsides at PwC. Work hours are long during busy season, however that is expected in any Big 4 environment.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Good benefits, salary at market level.

    Cons

No worklife balance. Lack of respect for personal life. Regardless of busy season or not, management and higher-ups do not ask whether you can stay late - they just demand it. Great culture for those who don't have personal lives / family / friends / hobbies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat people like human beings and not robots.

    Pros

Training is great, great colleagues, could be a fun workplace. Coaching is emphasized and there are wonderful resources within firm. Partners are friendly and approachable.

    Cons

Review process is not always fair and promotions could be questionable. PwC does not take action with rewarding hard working employees (i.e., showing recognition) until it is too late. Too much admin burden without admin support, too much power to HR. No work life balance unless such expectations are set from the beginning. Too much emphasis on metrics that may result in apples to oranges type comparison of performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Emphasis on work life balance, revisit metrics and determine whether those numbers truly reflect an accurate up picture of performance for people doing different things.
