I worked at PwC full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Great clients, smart people, training opportunities, commitment to the community, flexibility, leveraging of technology, ability to transfer and try new things

Cons

Internal politics, unrealistic sales goals, not enough women in higher levels, demanding career from time and energy perspective

Advice to ManagementAdvice

PwC made a huge commitment to its people by not doing layoffs during the recession. You could have really capitalized on that by stressing that the partners took pay cuts to protect their people and gotten so much loyalty in return. Instead the message became be thankful you have a job which made a lot of people resentful. Be realistic when setting expectations and sales targets.

I have been working at PwC full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great career opportunities, different sectors (advisory, tax, and audit). Worldwide career opportunities. Having daily challenges that make you smarter. Outstanding and young colleagues.

    Cons

Retribution at the beginning of the career is lower than in other industries. However, they focus on career growth. Also, we sure you will succeed in the company, otherwise you are out (negative performance and start searching for another job).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More efficient flexibility policies could be implemented. PwC has done some many improvement in work-life balance, but it is one of the main focus for employees.
