I worked at PwC full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Amazing learning opportunities, really smart colleagues, team environment, very constructive two-way feedback process. I learned so much in the almost seven years I was in the audit practice. It was a very valuable experience, especially right out of college.

Cons

It's public accounting, so lots of overtime! While I was there, I thought I was underpaid. Now that I'm gone, I think it was pretty fair (if you don't consider the overtime), and the merit-based compensation was excellent!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue the focus on team-building and bottom-up feedback. Allow more cross-industry staffing to give broader experience to staff.

    Pros

PwC offers vast resources and experiences. The compensation is probably the highest of the Big 4, and seems to be a continued area of focus. Flexibility is the new buzz word.

    Cons

Compensation is lower than industry. Review process is highly subjective, regardless of the "transparency". Often difficult to utilize opportunities available.
