Good training ground, but an absolute hell hole to work and not at all in line with ethos that the partners preach

Pros

Great training ground - learn and once you get to assistant manager/ manager level get out. Good exposure to a variety of clients so gives you a good look at industry across the board. Great place to develop your career for a few years and decide where you want to specialise and get paid properly in a respected company.

Cons

Technical skills are terrible among most individuals who work at pwc. Walking the walk and talking the talk confidently and selling work is the main aim.

Advice to Management

Go back to where you were 10-15 years ago when pwc employees had skills and were actually able to offer clients a good service.

    I worked at PwC

    Pros

Exposure to variety of job types and client roles and functions. Opportunity to work with foriegn partner firms - PwC UK LLP. (2 years out of total 4). Access to a network of size which is unbelievable - global network with thousands of business functions and many thousands of people with different backgrounds.

    Cons

The project impact and personal satisfaction on the shareholders or company executives not percieved. Horizontal mobility not encouraged much - i.e. tranfer between teams and between partners restricted. Compensation way below market value.

    Pros

    Great prestigious Company
    Good brand name

    Cons

You work hard with no recognition
Promotions are not based on favoritism
If you are a real down to earth person forget about working here only fake people get ahead
I have never been so belittled in a company and by my own coach

    Advice to Management

    Be objective when analysing performance
Stop being rude and not thanking your employees for their efforts
Realize that people won't work hard if there is nothing to work towards to
