The good brand you see does not reflect the reality

Audit Manager (Former Employee)
Makati City (Philippines)

ProsPwC provides good training programs which is being offered by similar big4 firms as well. But branding is what differs them from the others. They also differ greatly in the overall compensation package they offer. Performance bonuses you can get can be up to 3x or 5x your basic salary. They also have fun activities such as sportsfest and teambuilding like private companies.

ConsWork is stressful as expected and some demanding bosses make it even more stressful. Once you make a mistake, that will become your 'brand'. People can be unethical at times when spreading negative comments about someone. Your ability to be close to the powerful gods can make a difference when it comes to performance assessment, promotion and bonuses. Gossips and backstabbing against coaches and colleagues are usual just like in any company. It depends on how well you can ignore. If your handsome or pretty, you can use it to your advantage.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
