I worked at PwC full-time for more than a year

Pros

PwC provides good training programs which is being offered by similar big4 firms as well. But branding is what differs them from the others. They also differ greatly in the overall compensation package they offer. Performance bonuses you can get can be up to 3x or 5x your basic salary. They also have fun activities such as sportsfest and teambuilding like private companies.

Cons

Work is stressful as expected and some demanding bosses make it even more stressful. Once you make a mistake, that will become your 'brand'. People can be unethical at times when spreading negative comments about someone. Your ability to be close to the powerful gods can make a difference when it comes to performance assessment, promotion and bonuses. Gossips and backstabbing against coaches and colleagues are usual just like in any company. It depends on how well you can ignore. If your handsome or pretty, you can use it to your advantage.

    Pros

-PwC is a great place to learn about various industries, which is good if you're industry-searching but are unsure yet what is your ideal place.
-People are great. I've met lots of experienced professionals during my time here.
-Even though we work crazy hours, time is rather flexible.

    Cons

-Compensation and benefits are really low. Comparing my salary with other Associates in fellow consulting firms, it's around 49-53% lower than average.
-There are few experienced professionals left (most of them leave for better opportunities) and the management doesn't seem to take action.
-Newcomers are usually interns replacing consultants or assistant managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk to your employees. Listen to their concerns. Find out why your best people are leaving and do something about it.

    Cons

You have no life during busy season.
Salary is not as high as you would expect given the hours you put in.
